Miss Bianca has had a year and a half of swimming lessons and was progressing quite nicely. Then a few months ago she developed a fear of being in deep water. She was okay in the shallow pool, but taken out of her depth she would cling to the instructor like a limpet. Nothing we said or did, extra trips to the pool, one on one lessons, bribery with chocolate made any difference. One hour in the resort at Queensland and she was kicking across the pool with a noodle... never mind that not even Dad could stand up in the middle!

Today at swimming lessons, she jumped in off the edge, swam underwater to the instructor, grabbed a kickboard and headed off to the edge. Way to go Miss B!
