Rushing by...

Credits HERE
Only a week and a half of summer holidays left! They seem to have flown by and suddenly it is time to think about labelling uniforms and covering books. Not to mention cutting lunches, homework, morning rush hour and attempting to get the munchkins to bed at a reasonable hour... can't say I am looking forward to it.
We are trying to make the most of these last few days. Miss B is doing an "intensive swimming program" this week. She has been having lessons for almost two years and was doing really well. Then around October last year she suddenly became fearful in the water and totally refused to even attempt a stroke. At first I thought she was just being stubborn, which would not be unusual at all... but eventually we realised she was scared. So this week she is having one on one lessons to try and build some confidence. Her instructor said to me today that she really is a quite competent little swimmer... she just needs to believe that herself. Fingers crossed that it helps.
So this week is all about the pool and bike riding. Jacob finally managed to get off his training wheels before Christmas and now Bianca is determined to ride without hers. The fact that she has just turned five and Jacob is seven does not matter to her. She really is not even close to being ready... I think the wheels have been off and then back on again about five times so far this week. Still if determination counts for anything she will get there.
